The Shape of Comfort is a documentary photography series exploring the relationships between adults and their stuffed animals.
These environmental portraits, informed by in-person interviews, document moments of play, embrace, and contemplation. The project focuses on the individual’s memories and evolving relationship with their stuffed animal and, ultimately, with themselves. These stuffed animals are a portal into the layered emotional landscapes often hidden beneath the surface of adult life.
